Contineo’s OpenVista server connector going Open Source

We have decided to open source our OpenVista Server Connector. For those of you that have not used it before, the connector is a REST api that allows access to patient, orders, tasks, lab results, medication, alert and other data via simple REST calls.

The connector is Java based, uses Restlets (www.restlet.org) and can be deployed into any servlet compliant container.

At the moment we are working with Medsphere (the company behind OpenVista) on the best way to release the connector to the community.

We are very excited about the enhancement opportunities that will come from feature requests and feedback from the OpenVista community.

Once the source code is released we look forward to you feedback.

    I am very interested in your REST api and am very grateful for your offer to open source your product. I would like to have a consult with you at your earliest convenience in regards to some projects I am doing with Universities and groups internationally using OpenVistA as well as other systems such as Tolven, OpenMRS and others.
